Any woman is eligible for membership who is at least eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence. She must provide birth, marriage, and death certificates for the first three generations.
Joining the DAR does not require an interest in genealogy, but it helps to have knowledge of your ancestry. We are happy to help you search for your Patriot ancestor and will help you with the forms and documentation you need. Contact us, and a member of our Membership Committee will contact you to help you get started on the path to membership.
